Planning for Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, May 4 is reaching some of the deadline dates.

MARCH 15 - Nomination papers must be turned in to the Town Clerk by 5 pm.  So far we have nominations papers completed by:

       Board of Health - Catherine Hilton, incumbent

       Board of Library Trustees - Brad Foster and Michele Regan-Ladd, both incumbents 

       Moderator - Paul Lyons

       Planning Board - Jeff Lacy, incumbent

Nomination papers for  Cemetery Commissioner, Constable, two more Planning Board seats, Broadband/Municipal Light Plant Board, School Committee and Select Board are not filed yet.  Any resident can take out nomination papers, collect the signatures of 20 Shutesbury registered voters and turn them into the Town Clerk by March 15.

MARCH 20 - Citizen Petitions have to be received by the Select Board.  Once the petition is filed with them, the scope of the petition cannot be substantially amended. 

April 20 - The last day to register it vote in the Annual Town Meeting and the Election for town officials.
