Shutesbury Select Board Meeting November 17, 2007 as amended upon approval on November 27, 2007 Members present: Chair Rebecca Torres, Debra Pichanick, and Ralph Armstrong. Also present Town Administrator David C. Dann and recording. Meeting opened at 11:14 A.M. Meeting Schedule in December and January: The Select Board agreed to the following meeting schedule-to meet once in December on the 11th. They will come to Town Hall to sign the fiscal warrants on December 26 or 27. In January they will have their regular meeting schedule on the 8th and 22nd and will meet with Fin Com January 15th for budget discussion. Surplus Equipment: The Select Board voted to award the surplus equipment to the following: Mack Truck $8100 to Patterson Farms Two Turf Tires $101 also to Patterson Farms from Sunderland 6’ metal truck rack George Randall from Colrain Snow blower ended in tie bid and new bid round was extended until 11/19/07 for all four bidders. Dam Management Committee: The Select Board discussed the importance to convene a meeting with all the committee members to review the committee’s charge/role, and to discuss what their future role may/should be. Classification discussion: The Board of Assessors will be coming to the 11/20/07 Select Board meeting to discuss the up coming Classification Hearing on 11/27/07. They will discuss the options and impact in having two tax rates vs. one tax rate. Snow Emergencies: Discussion of a recommendation to use Connect-CTY™ for communications during snow emergencies was put off for another Select Board meeting. Next Select Board meeting is November 20, 2007. Becky announced that she will leave the Select Board meeting early to attend the Planning Board meeting that same night. The Planning Board is trying to finalize their latest bylaw draft and there remain several important issues to resolve. Select Board adjourned at 11:48 A.M. Respectfully submitted, David C.
