Land Use Clerk Job Description

The Town of Shutesbury is seeking applicants for the position of part-time Land Use Clerk.  The Land Use Clerk attends meetings, takes minutes and handles documents for the Conservation Commission, ZBA, and Planning Board.  The largest piece of the job is Conservation Committee. Knowledge of Wetlands Protection Act Regulations is important for success in this position.

The Land Use Clerk maintains office hours in support of the Conservation Commission as well as setting up appointments, managing the calendar and assisting customers by email, phone and when possible by appointment.  Attendance at ZBA, Planning Board and Conservation Commission evening meetings is required. Concom meets two times a month for seven months of the year and one time per month for November through March. Planning Board meets one or two times per month, depending on activity. ZBA meetings are case-driven so some months there may be no meetings and other months one to three times.

Salary based on experience. Fourteen to Nineteen hours per week. Position is open currently.
