Timeline to Election Day!

May 9 (Saturday) — Annual Town Meeting and the Local Election will take place on Saturday at the Shutesbury Elementary School.

     The Local Election will be open from 8:30am to 3:30pm. 
     Town Meeting starts at 9:00am. 

May 7 (Thursday) — Finance Committee public information session on the Fiscal Year 2027 budget at 6:30pm on Zoom.

May 4 — Last day to submit a Vote By Mail application in time for the Local Election.

May 2 — Deadline to signup for free childcare during Town Meeting (9am – 1pm).

May 1 — Campaign finance reports due.

April 29 — Last day to register to vote in time for the Town Election.

April 25 (Saturday)  — Meet the Candidates Forum at the Shutesbury Public Library, 11:00am – 12:00pm.

Local Election information

Every spring the Town of Shutesbury holds a local election to select Town officers. This election occurs on the same day as Annual Town Meeting, but they are two separate events with different procedures and rules. Shutesbury voters can cast a ballot by mail or at the polls on Election Day.  You must be present in person to vote at Town Meeting.
