A local means-tested senior citizen property tax exemption is available to Shutesbury Seniors 65 years and older.This exemption is tied to the applicant’s qualification for the Massachusetts State Tax Form Schedule CB (Circuit Breaker).Information sheets and applications are available on the lower left of this Assessors web page.Completed applications are due in the Assessors’ office by August 31st.

This is a reminder to all Chapter 61, 61A, and 61B property owners that applications and renewal applications are due on December 1st.
Chapter 61 (Forestry) applicants must re-apply every 10 years by December 1st and must include an up-dated Forest Management plan.
Chapter 61A (Agricultural) and Chapter 61B (Recreational) applicants must re-apply every year by December 1st to continue the property classification into the next fiscal year.
