Due to resignation and term expiration, the Town of Shutesbury is looking for volunteers to serve on the Board of Assessors. Appointed by the Select Board, assessors serve for a three-year term and receive an annual stipend. Persons with knowledge of municipal finance, real estate or construction would be an asset to the board.
ONLINE PROPERTY TAX MAPS AND GIS INFORMATION
As of April 25, 2022, the Town will no longer be using MainStreet GIS for property tax and GIS (Geographic Information System) information. MainStreet GIS was acquired in 2021 by CAI Technologies and they have created a more powerful and up to date website for us.
Going forward, all property ownership changes will be updated on a weekly basis and any property lot line changes recorded at the Registry of Deeds will be updated on a monthly basis (not once a year as previously done).
