The Recreation Committee purpose:
The Recreation Committee develops recreational activities designed to build community and enrich the quality of life in Shutesbury. The Committee sponsors and supports recreational experiences and related educational programming for all age groups.

Sunday, April 12, 11 AM, South Brook Conservation Area
STITCH-INS AT TOWN HALL
Whether you knit, crochet, darn, needlepoint, embroider or do any other type of stitching, please join us. The gatherings are typically 9-11 AM Sundays. We will send out a Town-Wide Email as well as post here with dates in 2026.
SHOOTSBURY SOCCER CLUB
The Shootsbury Soccer Club is into its second year! This fun and casual soccer meet-up is open to ages 3 to 10 and takes place Sundays in the fall and spring from 9-10 AM at the Shutesbury Elementary School.
This is a fantastic opportunity for children and families to get active, enjoy the outdoors, and meet new friends in our community. Best of all, it is completely free and no registration is required.

The Recreation Committee has started planning a Trivia Night in early 2026. Keep an eye out for a Town-wide email with details. And brush up on your knowledge of Shutesbury history!
SPRING BIKE REPAIRS AND TUNE-UPS
The Bike event last spring was a great success and the Recreation Committee plans to offer it again this year. Approximately 20 bikes were serviced and made rideable at no cost to their owners. In addition, the committee organized a children's biking meet-up, which drew about 20 participants.
